A hazy yet peppy psych-rock mystique takes hold on “Just West,” the third single from Tuberosa. Jamming out since 2011, the project released their debut single in September, and continue to ascend with this success — exemplifying a sound they describe as “Where the Desert meets the Surf.” Percussive pit-pattering traverses into a pulsing bass line and swipes of guitars, escalating into a debonair, surf-touched sequence past the one-minute turn as yearning vocals enter. A cinematic, stylish success, “Just West” has us firmly anticipating whatever’s next from Tuberosa.
