Little Miss Echo – “Optigan”

/

“Optigan” is a psych-pop delight from Boston-based act Little Miss Echo, compelling in its dreamy evolution amidst warming acoustics, twinkling piano, and escalating guitar textures. Harmonious vocal layers emerge following pulsing acoustics, immersing with an accessibly dazed composure. “Leave the light on,” vocals yearn into a chipper electric guitar presence, venturing beyond the initially understated charm and into a more rock-friendly vigor.

The vocal dynamics, from the higher-pitched “don’t you know you had me fooled?” questioning to the initial deeper-toned contemplation, add further to the climactic feeling. The first of two singles from their upcoming debut album, “Optigan” has us firmly anticipating what’s next from Little Miss Echo.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
