NEEB – “Brighter Day”

/

Lyrical aspirations for impending sunshine mesh with a soulful, hypnotic allure on “Brighter Day,” a single released today from NEEB. Jasmine Weatherill’s compelling vocal presence is a new addition to the Hartlepool, UK-based band’s lineup, led by three members who have been creating music together for 20 years. Following a four-year hiatus, “Brighter Day” is a fantastic return, and also representative of their recent partnership with Shy Bairn Records.

Mellow Rhodes and jazzy percussion assemble a contemplative soundscape to set “Brighter Day” in motion. A soaring vocal soulfulness envelops as the rhythm section assumes a brisker pace and the piano continues its glistening. “You’ve been waiting for a brighter day, better things to come your way,” the vocal intrigue exudes, meshing a vibrantly natural lead with an electronic-effect reflection. Steady guitar strums and the various vocal layers combine for a ravishing, hypnotic listening experience from NEEB. We’re certainly excited to hear what’s next from NEEB and other artists on Shy Bairn Records.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
