Denver-based artist Johnathan Maske impresses with a catchy rock appeal on “After Everything,” following up the previously featured single “Chasing Shadows.”
Described by Maske as “all about a night out in the city, and all the grit and glamour that follows,” the track captures the fluctuating emotions of the night — from the evening’s initial excitement to the yearning for connection as late night takes hold. The “come on!” hook punctuates the track with a brass-touched ardency, following compelling depictions of a search for nighttime excitement. “After Everything” is another strong showing from Maske.
