Pleasantville – “Where is the lie?”

/

“Where is the lie?” incorporates moody piano lines, debonair vocals, and erupting guitars for a memorable sound from Pleasantville. The track represents the third single from the band, which is led by Aaron David Gleason and Emma Freeman. “Where is the lie?” features production from Daniel Gleason (Grouplove), and it excels throughout — from the quaint piano/acoustic pairing past the two-minute mark, into the exhilarating guitar twangs that follow. It feels as if the piano, bass, and guitars take turns as the lead emphasis, doing so seamlessly and making for a riveting, climactic appeal throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
