Summer Of Love – “Who’s gonna take care”

/

A psychedelic pop delight from Summer Of Love, “Who’s gonna take care” is a nostalgic success — bridging surf-y vocal harmonies and dazed, hypnotic engrossment into a Beatles-esque central hook; the title-touting refrain proves irresistible here. That more rock-minded chorus enamors, while the verses prove equally irresistible within the “violets in my head,” introspections. Per the trio, “Who’s gonna take care” is about “the feeling of what happens to all the people, things and relationships when you are no longer there.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
