“Momentarily” is a blissfully melodic new track from Toronto-based duo Kai & Oolong, who crafted it as an homage to dream-pop bands such as The Cranberries and Cocteau Twins. Canadian singer Kessi Blue features on the track, adding her lushly inviting vocal presence amidst swirls of jangling guitars and hypnotic rhythms. “Another raindrop falls on me,” Kessi Blue’s vocals let out during a particularly spacious moment. “Are we just drifting endlessly?” continues the dreamy mystique, then shifting into a gauzy, layered array of warming guitars and uplifted vocal emotion for a wholly satiating send-off. “Momentarily” is a consuming success from Kai & Oolong and Kessi Blue.
