Paul Maged – “The Glass River”

/

Paul Maged’s lively vein of rock, culled from an eclectic taste and forays into various styles, impressed on multiple tracks in the past, like “Look At Me”, “Wild”, and “Light Years Away”. His most recent release is the 6-track EP The Glass River, which Maged calls “harder-edged, with a sense of urgency and more socially conscious” than its predecessor. The release is produced by Multi-Platinum Producer Sean Gill of The Passengerz.

The title track “The Glass River” was written while Maged was sailing along the Bass River in Dennis, Cape Cod. It is a song “about seeing truths in our reflection in the water,” with the middle section – “The Ballad of Alan and Jane” – serving as an ode to Maged’s parents. Maged’s enthusiastic vocal delivery combines with frantic guitar work and key-laden additions to craft a memorable track, one of six on the new EP, streaming on Spotify here.
