Loverman – “Blue Blood Baby”

/

“Blue Blood Baby” is a suavely accomplished rocker, showing shades of War on Drugs, The Church, and Nick Cave in its captivating aesthetic. The debut single from Loverman, a project led by Sasha Papadin alongside guitarist Jake Studer and drummer Kieran Maloney, “Blue Blood Baby” maintains a coolness throughout — the confident “blue blood baby,” chorus enhanced by a late-night synth pad along the flickering guitars. Featuring production by Grammy winner Mark Lawson (Arcade Fire, Timber Timbre), the track succeeds in both feel and melody.

“Blue Blood Baby” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2018’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Lush, Suave/Slacker, + Jangle-Rock.
