Premiere: Max Subar – “Just Another One”

/

The beautiful track “Just Another One” is one we’re happy to premiere. Coming via singer/songwriter Max Subar, “Just Another One” shows a mellow though melodic sound, one aesthetically reminiscent of Jeff Tweedy’s works. A sparse, twangy guitar starts, accompanied by subtle percussion just prior to Subar’s lush vocals kicking in. Pedal steel-like twangs permeate in the background, adding further to the beauty. “Just Another One” is the second single off his upcoming EP, What The Story Says, releasing on April 12th. “It’s about getting through a broken relationship and growing closer with yourself,” Max says. The track and majority of the album was recorded on cassette in his sun-room. “Just Another One” has us anticipating What The Story Says quite a bit.

“Just Another One” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Folk.
