Billett – “Just So You Know”

/

The jangly track “Just So You Know” is a consuming effort from Brandon Billett, a singer/songwriter from Miami. The hypnotic guitar swirls and mellow vocal presence – featuring a lead and lush backing vocals – make for an accessible aesthetic, one with ample emotion though still with an immediate melodic appeal. The track comes from his new album Have You Ever?, which features more laid-back, jangly goodness. “Seafoam” and its surf-y backing vocal presence is another highlight, as is more energetic throwback rocker “Blackberry” and lushly melodic “Easy Comes, Easy Goes.” This is a recommended release for anyone with the slightest inclination toward jangle pop/rock, and laid-back rock in general.
