xOxford – “Be Yours”

The dazzling, infectious “Be Yours” is the striking debut of synth-pop duo xOxford, based in Englewood, Colorado. Suave verses featuring melodic vocals and a bass-driven swell are gradually accompanied by effervescent synths, leading into a contagious chorus, where the vocals admit “I just wanna be yours,” over a starry-eyed synth-led soundscape. With sharp production and an obvious ear for melodic hooks, xOxford are an immensely promising duo that hopefully continues churning out infectious synth-pop gems like “Be Yours.”

“”Be Yours” is a fun & playful synth pop anthem about the insecurity & excitement in the moments that pass while you navigate whether a relationship is just a fling or something more serious,” member Eric Lake says. “This felt like the perfect debut single because we’re feeling the same mix insecurity & excitement as we share our project with the world.”

“Be Yours” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Catchy Electro and Synth-Pop.
