Resurrection Fern – “Coffee”

/

Resurrection Fern first caught my ear with the track “Savanna” last month. The stirring folk ballad showed an impressive range of hypnotic acoustics and haunting vocals. The artist (and Twitch partner) also recently put out the track “Coffee” alongside an accompanying lyric video (above). These two tracks so far show an emotive sound with a sincere, authentic quality. “Coffee” is a building folk stirrer, with a repeating, hypnotic guitar presence complementing the artist’s croon. Subtle strings emerge in the background throughout the second half. Fans of emotive singer/songwriter material are likely to enjoy “Coffee.”

“Coffee” and other memorable tracks released in September can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2019’ Spotify playlist.
