The Colonies – “Potomac”

/

Previously impressing with tracks like “Bound to Be Something Good” and “Her Hands Are So Cold,” Washington, D.C. indie-rock act The Colonies are back with the single “Potomac.” Jangly rhythm guitars and a steady rhythm section lead a sound influenced by garage-rock and indie-pop, with a nice hook during the bridge. “Potomac” represents the band’s first track release since opening for Judah & The Lion at The Anthem, where The Colonies played in front of 2000 people.

“Potomac” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2019’ Spotify playlist.
