Kevin Focke – ‘Beyond The Pale Blue’ EP

/

Beyond The Pale Blue is the latest EP from Kevin Focke, the final of an EP trilogy released this year. The first of such was featured in June with the Sunshine In Suburbia EP. The Bruges-based artist followed that up with the chilled-out The Miranda Commands It EP.

Constant throughout the releases has been Focke’s outstanding production on display. The atmospheric synth tones and tightly constructed melodic hooks are riveting throughout, and from the get-go on this EP, with illuminated synths and a lush rhythmic push. House-based influences appear especially during the EP’s mid-section, setting off an infectious, dazzling display in the self-titled track. Beyond The Pale Blue is fit for a dance party, on a neon-lit spaceship blasting off into the beautiful unknown.

“The music is produced by Gold Skull, a member of Maximum Love, and features a cover by the Finnish artist Totema.”

“Beyond The Pale Blue” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Electronic.
