5thPlanet – “Droplets”

Intriguing and otherworldly, “Droplets” is the latest from 5thPlanet. Impressing with the track “Allnite BB” last month, also from the album Outer Connections, the New York-based act continues to emphasize a consuming, atmospheric sound that unveils with ample engagement. Sounding like a futuristic thump set in a neon-tinted bar in the far reaches of space, “Droplets” shows a moving synth lead amidst arps and textural backing swells. The result is one that entices replays.

“Droplets” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Electronic.
