Chris Ianuzzi – “Hunger”

/

Industrial electronic groover “Hunger” is a recent track from Chris Ianuzzi, impressing earlier this year with the track “Infinite Prize.” Aesthetically, I’m fondly reminded of The Fall, circa The Marshall Suite LP. The repeating “hunger!” vocal sample resonates effectively with the pulsing percussive effects and anxious, spacey synth fragments. The NYC-based artist continues to strut a sound steeped in inventive qualities, this time foraying into elements of industrial club and dubstep. The track sounds like something off British Sea Power’s Disco Elysium soundtrack, which is superb.

“Hunger” and other memorable tracks released in August can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2021’ Spotify playlist.
