Primordial Spasm – “The Last Decay”

/

A moody rocker with infectious appeal, “The Last Decay” is a new track from Primordial Spasm, the Canadian project that impressed earlier this year with “Wash Away / Memories of Memories.” “We all die someday, taking a ride along the way,” the vocals ring out during the consuming rise, with glistening guitar twangs and hypnotic organs embracing. The title-referencing bridge is a deeply atmospheric psych-forward delicacy, the ensuing “my sense of self is falling down,” refrain captivating with equally hypnotic results. The brass-laden verses that close out the track do so with an eloquent grip, concluding the excellent “The Last Decay” with a satisfying touch.

“The Last Decay” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
