An sprawling electronic journey from London-based artist Domax, “Bollé” is the byproduct of a nighttime studio session with live drums and Mono/Poly synth. Domax has unveiled a steady stream of releases over the past year, with numerous EPs — including the recently featured Volca. 2023 promises more goodness, with “Bollé” immersing in its atmospheric, synth-forward production.

A perky initial synth arp envelops with a futuristic glow, joined by percussive hints past the one-minute turn. Assuming a more galloping rhythmic presence thereafter, the track lifts off amidst an array of colorful synths. The glistening interplay of various synth layers fully compels past the four-minute mark, exuding an effervescent whimsy that feels like a vibrant expanse from the track’s initial, more contemplatively cinematic sound. “Bollé” is another stirring production from Domax.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2023’ Spotify playlist.
