The “if you will, maybe I will too,” sequence haunts with its emotively ascending grip, culminating in denser guitar textures and a steady rhythmic pulse.
The track builds with a climactic, melodic pull throughout, from the bass-fronted “building castles,” sequence to more expansive moments, showing shades of Radiohead in the escalating vocals and atmospheric guitars. “Maybe I Will” is a strong showing from nightshades, who first caught our ears with the single “The Out” last month.
