Marble – “oblivion”

/

A moody alt-rocker with escalating satiation, “oblivion” is a recent single from Marble, a band based in Portland and Seattle. “I go to therapy but I’m as sane as anyone else,” the contemplative vocals ascend into the invigorating “falling out of grace,” distortion heavy rise. “Maybe this time I’ll crawl into oblivion,” they conclude, traversing seamlessly back into the synth-touched and bass-thumping intrigue of the verses. The band describe this memorable track as “for those of us that feel forgotten, invisible, unknown, even (maybe especially) when surrounded by our closest friends.”

The band first caught our ears in 2022 with the track “Quiet Mind.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
