Longfriend Timefriend – “Close Friend”

/

A climactic single with an emotive alt-rock ferocity, “Close Friend” comes via South Philadelphia-based band Longfriend Timefriend. “You need some space again, it’s fine, at least you told me this time,” the vocals let out amidst trickling guitar momentum, awaiting for “bad news to hit,” into the clanging bass and intensifying vocal burst — emitting a sense of being haunted by the past. The band excels with a heart-on-sleeve first half, and concludes with a sweltering display of emotion in the riveting finale. “Close Friend” is a sturdy rock success from Longfriend Timefriend.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
