A moody commiseration of answering-machine responses, “No Response” is a memorable single from Chicago-based band LLO LLO, who first caught our ears last year with the Quit While You’re Ahead EP. “No Response” develops with a beautiful intrigue, as lush acoustics, lounge-friendly piano, and melancholic vocals converge — lamenting the rejection implied in the lack of a response. LLO LLO continue to impress, and we’re anticipating whatever’s next.
