“Reach for the Dead” is the first fully revealed track off Boards of Canada’s hugely anticipated album, Tomorrow’s Harvest, due out June 10th (11th in the US). A glowing ambiance consumes the background over percussive pumps, the choir-like synth pad showing majestic potential early on. Sharp synth arpeggios increase in volume once appearing, the tranquil percussion pushing forward at 02:50. It’s not the most intricate or explosive track, but reminds us that Boards of Canada are among the best at creating wholly intoxicating soundscapes.
