SakkieFTW – “Experiment 1.3.2”


Vancover-based electronic musician SakkieFTW pursues a colorful and idiosyncratic take on electronica that’s “focused on the art just as much as the club.” His new EP Experiment 1.3.2 features five varied tracks, ranging from the jungle/dubstep hybrid “Frogstep” to constructive beat-builder “Experiment 1.3.2” rides on chopped-up robotic vocal samples and a hypnotic driving lead synth/drum beat that becomes nicely accompanied by squeaky guitar-like distortion mid-way through, with the synth, guitar, and vocal sample interacting in fascinating form throughout.
