Swisher is a new project from Brooklyn-based artist Oliver Switzer. The project’s self-titled debut release is opened by the track “phiend”, a late-night groover that meshes nocturnal guitar tones and neon-tinged synths with a steady bass line. Switzer’s lush and entrancing vocals play well within the track’s consuming atmosphere. Showing a well-produced mixture of late-night electronics and guitar-pop, “phiend” is a great introduction to Swisher.
