Kindergarten – “Deep Breath”

/

Kindergarten are a new five-piece, presently based in Bushwick (Brooklyn). The act was started by Toronto-based musician Jono Robertson. Their engaging new track “Deep Breath” precedes an upcoming EP, and shows a very pleasant sound featuring playful guitars that sway with gentle precision. 00:48 marks an uptick intensity, revealing a bouncy hook with angular guitars and melodic vocals. The section is capped off by a delightful though brief guitar-centric bridge. “Deep Breath” is an accessible, engaging effort from a band that appears likely to rise quickly in the burgeoning Brooklyn scene. Their next show is at The Bitter End on 12/21.

“Deep Breath” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2018’ Spotify playlist.
