Jaz Clemente – “Sacalacalaca”

//

Jaz Clemente impresses with the recent release of two new tracks. Produced by Jaz Clemente and Aki Ehara, “Sacalacalaca” touts an electro-groove fusion, an “electro-cumbia with synth-funk,” as described by the artist, who impressed with “Skylights” last year. The track bears a reminiscence to Toro y Moi and Neon Indian, utilizing guitars reminiscent of ’60s psych in addition to the dazzling synth and key work. The second track released from Jaz recently, “Do you even dream?” unleashes a disco groove in 7/8, with lyrics reflecting on self-love, self-reliance, and self-validation. Both these tracks are very stellar showings from an artist who’s starting off 2019 in quality form.

“Sacalacalaca” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2019’ Spotify playlist.
