Löwin – “Maybe It’s Over”

/

Austin, TX band Löwin released their new album, Heavy as the Sun, today. Producing a stylish and melodic vein of rock with a nocturnal tilt, Löwin impress with a release that values both melody and mood. Among the release’s highlights, “Maybe It’s Over” grows from mellow verses into a chorus with an emotive rise in vocals and guitars; the vocals assume a yearning quiver, as the guitars rise alongside an injection of lush keys. The repetition of “maybe it’s over,” resonates especially as the three-minute mark approaches. Aesthetically, there’s a fun likeness to Canadian act TOPS.

Heavy as the Sun is a very strong release, streaming below:

“Maybe It’s Over” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Rock.
