Crooked Flower – “Around and Around”

Berkeley-based Crooked Flower showcase their suave, confident sound on the track “Around and Around,” accompanied by the music video above. Angie Dang’s entrancing vocals sound parts smooth R&B and parts No Doubt-esque pop excitement. The track comes via the band’s new album Into the Light, which is streaming in full below. The album is an “anti-prohibition” release, put out in honor of Canada Liberation Day, 10/17/18. Their fight for the “right to party,” is echoed in the relaxed, welcoming vibes within their melodic rock sound. The act, which formed in 2014, continue to impress.

“Around and Around” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2019’ Spotify playlist.
