Outerfield – “Dust”

/

Hailing from the farmlands of Indiana, Outerfield are a band churning out a timeless vein of rock. Originally started by the collaboration of guitarist/bassist Gary Schrader and songwriter Matt Hutson, Outerfield have crafted an album in Pleasant Grove Hotel that shows 11 tracks with soaring rock sentiments. The album’s first single, “Dust” shows suave vocal beginnings, building to fine guitar work moments of emphasis like 01:37, where Schrader’s work shines in addition to Hutson’s suavely melodic vocals.

“The album is about the space it takes to put your life back together after everything has fallen apart,” the band says. “Not unlike the experience of making the record, which was shelved for four months and expected to never come out.” Stream the album below:

“Dust” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2019’ Spotify playlist.
