Anam Cara – “Woman (Red Velvet Devil)”

/

NYC artist Anam Cara released the track “Woman (Red Velvet Devil)” this week, displaying an entrancing sound. Leading the charge: gripping vocals and a timeless rock arsenal, touting psychedelic and surf guitar tones in addition to tinges of bouncy keys. Added guitar glistening in the very melodic bridge, hitting at around the 50-second mark, is wholly effective. The “got a hold on me,” chorus is sultry and addictive, showing an uptick in emotion while remaining structurally cohesive. “Woman (Red Velvet Devil)” is a confident aesthetic and melodic success from this talented 20-year-old artist.

“Woman (Red Velvet Devil)” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Rock.
