Moral High Horses – “Log Lady”

/

“Log Lady” is a soaring, bursting rocker from Moral High Horses, a band from San Francisco. They describe the release as “a song written about a time before the internet … a time when kids would find their dad’s nudey mags and share the intrigue with their friends after school.” Nostalgia is certainly an enjoyable component aesthetically, the “magazine,” escalation just prior to the one-minute mark kick-starting a gleeful hook. The sense of youthfulness, and a long yet promising road ahead, is captured in this track’s melodic feel and sharp mastering/mixing, courtesy of John Helfrich. I’m definitely looking forward to what’s next from Moral High Horses.

“Log Lady” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Rock.
