WUWU – “Take Your Things”

/

“Take Your Things” is a charming track from WUWU, the project from California-based musicians Thomas Howbert and Kristen Gradwohl. The effort touts a shimmering and melodic sound with folk and rock components. Consuming, melodic twists are throughout “Take Your Things,” which manages to be catchy without being predictable, a trait apparent early on. Amiable, Kinks-esque verses roll into a rousing, rock-forward bounciness in the first 90 seconds. Further, at 03:12, segmented guitars lead nicely into a satiating “take all your things,” vocal expansion. “Take Your Things” touts a lively, enjoyable structure and melodic charisma, making it a winner from WUWU.

“”Take Your Things” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2020’ Spotify playlist.
