Stevie Zita – “Neon Niko”

/

Stevie Zita‘s latest melodic single, “Neon Niko” is on the brisker side, compared to more contemplatively hooky gems like “Lost in Bruges” and “Indigo.” Here, the Toronto-based artist implements surf-friendly, fuzzy guitar tones as the vocals escalate in the chorus. Pulsing, dreamy guitars remain a constant, with the vocals also retaining an enjoyable vigor past the first minute. Stevie Zita continues to showcase a hook-abundant vein of rock steeped in aspects of dream-pop, shoegaze, and rock.

“Neon Niko” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2020’ Spotify playlist.
