Picture The Scene – “Picture The Scene”

/

A track that grows gracefully from piano-driven ballad to emotive rock-forward crooning, “Picture The Scene” comes from the project’s new, eponymous EP. The solo project from the artist formerly known as Lewis Speirs, Picture The Scene impresses with this self-titled release. The EP’s closing track, “Picture The Scene” shows especially well in a sweltering second half. “Won’t have to picture the scene no more,” Speirs sings as a buzzing guitar solo emerges, complete with ’90s alt-rock nostalgia. Picture The Scene kicks off well with this release, one that shows various successful spectrums, from convincing ballad-based yearning to soaring rock majesty.

“Picture The Scene” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2020’ Spotify playlist.
