Daragh – “Lucid Dream”

/

“Lucid Dream” bursts with hooky guitar jangles and melodic vocals, a memorable output from Daragh, a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Dublin, Ireland. The track’s “lucid dream,” chorus excels with glistening synths and twangy guitars. A scaled-back bridge approaching the two-minute mark also plays well, gearing climactically into a reprisal of the initial excitement. “Lucid Dream” is a stellar track from Daragh, one that appeals with accessible verses and an ensuing chorus that thoroughly succeeds.

Daragh describes the track as “about waking from a dream, and wanting nothing more than to go back to it.” Daragh Wearen was formerly the guitarist and songwriter in Company Ink, who made waves in the Norwegian music scene in 2018 with several festivals and accolades. Look for Daragh to continue the solo output with an upcoming EP.

“Lucid Dream” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2020’ Spotify playlist.
