The Kobras – “The Sun Song”

/

“The Sun Song” is the latest track from emerging duo The Kobras, formed last year in London. The “sun makes me feel,” chorus followed by shining guitar and gentle whistling, exudes warm and relaxing vibes; the result is thoroughly satisfying. The second half adds further expansive guitar tones, wailing with a jam-friendly fervor. Dessy Baeva’s vocals are spaciously captivating, while guitarist Harry Thacker impresses especially throughout the second half. “The Sun Song” is an impressive cut from The Kobras, definitely.

The band adds the following about the track:

“This song was written in the first national lockdown in Britain, about a year ago. It came from a jam we had while sitting in the sun pouring through a window. As the title suggests, it’s about the Sun and our love and appreciation for it. We hope to capture the mood of relaxing in its rays either in a park or at the beach and letting yourself drift away and forget your worries.”

“The Sun Song” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2021’ Spotify playlist.
