“Page Me” is the debut single from Checker Bloom, a band from Bellingham, WA. The track’s amiable meshing of jangly rock and power-pop makes for a replay-inducing result.

Crisp guitar jangles excel into a playfully reflective vocal line, leading into the delectable “it won’t phase me, if you page me, on the daily,” hook. The lusher guitars and serene bass line complement this sequence with melodic allure. “I may just lose my brain somewhere down the memory lane,” the vocals let out in an ensuing section, offering a brass-fronted twist into the aforementioned hook. Hazy wordless vocals cap the track in satiating form alongside lush guitars.

Per the band, the track is “about coping with existentialism by interfacing with old technology.”

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2022’ Spotify playlist.
