Another success from Casey Wells, “Moving On” affects with its heartfelt emotion and lush soundscape, propelled by gentle guitar twangs and a lush synth-y backing. Soaring vocals emit a retrospective lament, with the quaint guitar jangles accompanying beautifully.

“Everyone seems to move on in time, I can’t figure how or why,” the vocals admit, capturing the track’s gripping lyrical focus regarding the passage of time. “The song is from the perspective of one that feels left behind, though still offering glimpses of hope and acceptance,” Wells explains.

A hazy synth injection joins seamlessly thereafter, building to a gorgeous backing vocal adornment past the three-minute mark. “Moving On” is exceptionally easy to get lost within in its plethora of quality moments, from the “seems to move on in time,” hook to the spacey vocal backing.

Wells impressed earlier this month with the track “Side of Me.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2022’ Spotify playlist.
