Blue of Colors – “Changing of The Season”

/

Pittsburgh-based project Blue of Colors present a peppy rock entrancement on “Changing of The Season,” channeling an energy reminiscent of The Strokes in its escalation from quaint guitar pulses into a hooky, anthemic charm. “Where do we go from here?” the vocals ask during a catching escalation, with sporadic percussive thumps eventually culminating in a suave vocal hook past the first-minute turn. The final minute satiates in its more hi-fi production, strutting a fantastic convergence of roused vocals, roaring guitars, and more upfront rhythms.

The infectious track was Produced by Charlie Brand of Miniature Tigers, and is described by Blue of Colors as being “written as a total stream of consciousness.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2023’ Spotify playlist.
