Big Dumb Baby – “Jenny’s Place”

/

Unveiling a confident and melodic rock sound, “Jenny’s Place” is a catching new single from Big Dumb Baby, who is originally from Nashville and now based in Brooklyn. ’90s rock nostalgia intertwines with a southern-inspired singer/songwriter vibe, here and throughout the actor-turned-musician’s debut EP, Terrible Twos.

The “there’s nowhere I’d rather be,” chorus entrances amidst lyrical perspectives of shaking rooms and smelly cigarette fumes, relaying some unfortunate occurrences while also emphasizing a sort of heartfelt nostalgia for a certain time and place. “Jenny’s Place” is a stirring, melodic rocker from Big Dumb Baby, propelled by conversational-feeling verses that escalate into a cathartic, sincere hook — capturing the type of place you’d rather be at right now, above all else.
