UK artist Person impresses with the charming new track “Soak It Up,” delivering a range of folk-friendly warmness and twangy guitar delectability. “I soak it up,” the artist lets out, escalating into a stomping, theatrical turn past the first minute. The subsequent verses find a delightful piano-laden emphasis stirring amidst the mellow acoustics, culminating in another satiating rise — “it’s a nightmare.” Aesthetically, I’m reminded fondly of the band Beulah.
