gloomhush – “Honest”

/

A lushly consuming debut single from Canadian artist gloomhush, “Honest” stirs with its late-night, contemplative allure. “I’m not sorry for being honest,” the vocals let out amidst hazy synths and light key twinkling. The “when I go to sleep,” lengthening plays engrossingly amidst serene guitar trickles, culminating in the “can you die with me?” — enticing with its gently reassuring tones. “Honest” is an atmospheric dream-pop success from gloomhush.

Look for more singles from this promising act in the coming months. “Honest” certainly stands out as their debut.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2023’ Spotify playlist.
