Who Saved Who – “Words Take Shape”

/

Cleveland-based quartet Who Saved Who present a balanced rock sound on their recent track “Words Take Shape,” meshing moody post-punk hints and emotive vocal spells. Shades of Interpol arise in the “we can fantasize,” hook, as twangy guitars add to their confident vocal stride.

A dreamier guitar-forward glistening leads in the subsequent section, alongside dreamy wordless vocal backing. A punk-minded brightness follows in the title-touting section, further emphasizing the act’s dynamic, tonally gripping engrossment. “We can fantasize about letting it die,” the vocals repeat, journeying into a blistering finale with heavy guitar distortion. “Words Take Shape” is a riveting showing from Who Saved Who.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2023’ Spotify playlist.
