dye-dye – “hot glue”

/

“hot glue” is a gripping new single from dye-dye. Steadily ruminating folk-pop appeal is evident in the panting percussion, acoustic clanging, and ethereal vocal swoons. “I can’t make you love me the way I want to,” a powerful refrain lets out thereafter, as sporadic electric guitar pulses inject an invigorating distortion. The track’s dynamic hold is evident, in regard to its tonal range, and it coincides with a personal thematic drive for a wholly resonating success from dye-dye.

The artist elaborates further:

“this song is about my parents divorce and the different perspectives you can have throughout a relationship (whether toxic or not). it is a song that i hold very dear to me, and one that i am really proud of.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
