Seeing Hands – “It’s True”

/

Following the substantial success of debut single “I Knew You” (250k+ Spotify plays over three months), Newcastle-based dream-pop act Seeing Hands has followed it up with “It’s True”, a more shimmering effort that shows an effervescent post-punk tinge reminiscent of Wild Nothing. Produced by Alex Greaves at The Nave and mastered by Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, The Shins), “It’s True” sports a fantastic central chorus, with bursting guitar twangs and multi-layered vocals making for moments of melodic bliss. It’s part Wild Nothing’s shimmering post-punk and part Real Estate’s entrancing jangle-pop — hitting a stylistic sweet spot, for me at least. This new one from Seeing Hands is hard not to fall in love with.
