Letting Up Despite Great Faults – “Corners Pressed”

/

“Corners Pressed” is the latest from Letting Up Despite Great Faults, further exemplifying the Austin, TX-based act’s engrossing, dreamy rock sound. Chirpy guitar jangles play alongside lush vocals for entrancing effect throughout. The pulsing rhythmic and guitar correspondence around the track’s mid-point converges with the hypnotic vocals for a thoroughly hypnotic sequence. The more excitable guitar jangles and laid-back vocal presence collaborate with beautiful results. Off the band’s upcoming album, “Corners Pressed” has me firmly in anticipation mode for that release.

The band first caught our ear in 2012 with the track “Scratch,” and also earlier this year, with “Gemini.”

“Corners Pressed” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2021’ Spotify playlist.
