David Taro – “Dear Sarah”

/

A track out today from South London-based artist David Taro, “Dear Sarah” is a heartfelt folk success, playing as a “breakup letter of a song,” through emotive vocals, climactic acoustics, and piano flourishes. The lyrics plead for Sarah to “see it too,” yearning for a mutual understanding and sense of peace within a relationship that appears to be unraveling. Soaring electric guitar tones linger beautifully into the second half, crafting an atmospheric spell as the vocals re-emerge into the garden setting.

The heartfelt folk sound drives to a conclusion with “I can’t say goodbye,” admittances, repeating with captivating impact. “Dear Sarah” captivates in its sincere range of emotion, capturing a middle ground between melancholic reflection and moving forward, while also lamenting on a missed opportunity for connection. The track is another success from Taro, who caught our ears last year with his album This Is Not The End.
