“Everybody Knows Its There” is a hazy, moody rocker from Gamma Ray Sam, the project of Liverpool-based singer/songwriter Dom Bryan. Off his new album Well Done Jessica!, the track works off a lush acoustical backbone, gradually complemented by electric twangs and hypnotic vocal turns. “Let’s all sing about California,” he sings during the spacey chorus. “There’s a piece of mind waiting for yer.” Bryan’s vocals — somewhere in the tonal in-between of Neil Young and Norman Blake — are a steady, driving force on this naturally and enjoyably developing highlight.
